Soul child Holy seed According to U2 frontman, Sony Bono, the best way to write a song is to start from right where you are - and that’s what I’m going to do right now! I’m going to avoid trying to be mysterious and deep and I’m just going to write! The last time I wrote soulchild, a dear saint told me it wasn’t the right focus giving my state of mind. Setting my house in order would be the right priority, he said – and I kind of agreed, after all ‘the blind cannot lead the blind.’ but there is a certain sense in which this way of thinking is dangerously wrong....especially when you factor in the fact that God does not consult with your righteousness and perfection in order to ascertain your worthiness of being a carrier of His gifts and talents. His gifts and callings in Your life are not for you – but for the world you have been sent to and you must make a choice early on whether you will focus on your strengths (your gift and calling) or whether you will focus on your weaknesses. Holiness is not the absence of sin, but the perfection of goodness! When you focus on the expulsion of evil, you multiply evil – even if the evil is within self; for you have become a God unto yourself, seeking purity for the sake of self-satisfaction. But why seek your own righteousness? I’snt the God who made you able to make you pleasing to Him as He will? Yes, He is able! But your focus must change. You must let go of the extra-ordinary that You cannot do and focus on the extra-ordinary that you can do. Romans 13:6 ties it beautifully – ‘having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them’ It is important to identify and sanctify that thing in your life that counts as seed. It must be identified and separated from the clutter of your issues and drama because the seed is holy and it does not belong to you. It belongs to the people to whom you have been sent. Everyman has an audience. Mike Murdock set the limit at 250 and I think I can trust him. You have at least 250 people over whom you have direct influence. What you do or say (or don’t do or say), for these 250 or more counts! When God made you, he put the completion of someone else’s life in your hands. Someone’s growth, development and evolution is in your hands. The restoration of someone’s soul is in your hands. The entry of hope into someone’s hopeless situation is in your hands. If you wait and refuse to take responsibility for the awesome power that your skills and knowledge give proof of – ‘salvation’ for that person would arise from somewhere else – and your life will be bereft of the joy of knowing you shared in the creative process of God’s workings in the earth. There is a chief seed that represents your life. God is not a respecter of persons, but He is a respecter of seedtime and harvest. The seed of your life is that particular thing that you contribute to humanity that nobody else can do just like you. If your Jamie Oliver, it’s cooking. If your Barbara Streisand, it’s singing. Your unique gift is your seed. And you don’t need an xfactor platform to express it. You can find a platform right where you are! Be creative. Its time to stop worrying and grovelling in the dirt over all your shortcomings and failures, and start sowing your precious seed. Everybody has seed. And everybody’s seed is precious. In Genesis 3, God made a promise that the seed of the woman would bruise the seed of the serpent. That means all the demonic forces of hell are under subjection to your seed. Not even satan can stand against the power of a planted seed.....but it’s got to be planted! If you want to see the miraculous. Start planting seed. Jesus said the corn of wheat , when sown brings forth a multiplied fold harvest. Hours later, He laid down His life as a sacrifice. That sacrifice produced a mighty harvest 3 days later. A harvest of souls all over the earth! Your gifts and anointing are not for you. Be careful that low-esteem and sin-consciousness do not steal your input into the earth. ...and if by now, You’ve not guessed it, that’s the reason I have decided to relaunch Soulchild!
